Eligibility

You must be 18 or over to use Swotly. By signing up you confirm that you are.

What Swotly does

Swotly uses AI to turn notes you provide into practice quizzes, flashcards and exam-style questions, and to give feedback on your written answers. Swotly is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any university or awarding body.

AI output and marks

• AI can make mistakes. Always check important facts against your course materials.
• Marks and degree bands are practice feedback only. They are not official grades and do not predict your results.

Academic integrity

Swotly is a revision tool. You must not submit AI-generated text as your own work or use Swotly in any way that breaks your university's rules. You are responsible for following your institution's academic integrity policies.

Your content

You keep ownership of your notes and answers. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service. Only upload material you are allowed to use, and do not upload other people's personal data.

Credits

• New accounts receive 3 free credits, once per person.
• A quiz or flashcard deck costs 1 credit. An exam question with its first marking costs 2 credits. Each re-mark costs 1 credit.
• You can buy credits as one-off payments: Cram £2.99 for 20 credits, Exam season £5.99 for 60, Whole year £12.99 for 200. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
• Card payments are taken by Stripe through a secure payment form inside Swotly, and Stripe calculates and collects any tax due. We never see or store your card details.
• Credits are added to your balance automatically once Stripe confirms the payment. If a payment fails or is cancelled, nothing is charged and no credits are added.
• If generation fails, the credits are refunded automatically.
• Credits never expire. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
• Unused purchased credits are refundable on request within 14 days of purchase. Email alexlazar2023@yahoo.com.

Fair use

Do not misuse Swotly: no attempts to get around limits, create multiple accounts for free credits, attack the service, or use it to generate harmful content. We may suspend accounts that do.

Liability

We provide Swotly with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Otherwise we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on AI output or marks.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may close accounts that breach these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You may also have rights to bring claims in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
