Why flashcards work
Flashcards make you recall the answer before you see it. This is active recall, one of the best-evidenced ways to learn. Coming back to the cards you got wrong over the following days adds spaced repetition, which helps the memory last until the exam.
Good flashcards, made for you
- One idea per card, so you can check yourself honestly.
- A question or term on the front, a short answer on the back.
- Key terms, definitions, cases, studies and formulas taken from your notes.
Your notes, not someone else's deck
Ready-made decks are written for someone else's course. Swotly builds every card from your own lecture notes, so you revise exactly what your module covers.
